A check-up is easier than you think.

Many men only see a doctor when something is wrong. A regular check-up finds problems while they are still simple to treat.

Men in Australia visit the GP less often than women and tend to present later. At Toongabbie Doctors we make it straightforward: book a men's health check, tell us what is on your mind, and your GP will cover the essentials in one appointment. Dr Mustafa Hafiz, our Medical Director, focuses on men's health, skin checks and minor procedures.

Common questions.

Common questions about men's health.

Most men benefit from a general check every one to two years from their 40s, or earlier if there is a family history of heart disease, diabetes or cancer. Your GP will suggest a schedule based on your risk.

It depends on your age, symptoms and family history. Your GP will explain the benefits and limitations of PSA testing so you can decide together. It is a blood test, collected on site.

Yes. These are common, often linked to heart health, diabetes, medicines or stress, and usually treatable. The conversation is confidential and your GP will be matter-of-fact about it.

Dr Mustafa Hafiz and Dr Mohammed Hossain are both male GPs. You can request either when booking.

Yes. Dr Hafiz focuses on skin cancer checks and minor procedures, with a dedicated treatment room on site for biopsies and excisions.
