A general practitioner is the doctor you see first for most health concerns. At Toongabbie Doctors our GPs look after patients of every age, from newborn checks and childhood illnesses to chronic disease, mental health and the everyday coughs, pains and worries that families in Toongabbie, Pendle Hill, Girraween and Wentworthville bring through our doors.
Standard and long appointments
A standard appointment is usually enough for one or two straightforward concerns. If you have several things to discuss, need a care plan, or are starting a new treatment, ask reception for a long appointment so your doctor has the time to do it properly. Both are bulk billed for Medicare card holders.

We hold appointments each day for patients who need to be seen that day. Call reception on (02) 7813 6000 from 8am or check HotDoc for availability. If your concern is urgent or life-threatening, call 000.

Results and follow-up
Test results are reviewed by your doctor. Reception will contact you if a follow-up appointment is needed, and you are always welcome to book a review or telehealth call to talk through results.

Toongabbie Doctors is a 100% bulk billing clinic for Medicare card holders. Standard, long and same-day GP consultations attract no out-of-pocket cost.

100% bulk billing clinic
Standard GP consultations at Toongabbie Doctors are bulk billed for patients with a valid Medicare card, so there is no out-of-pocket cost to see your doctor.
Patients without a valid Medicare card are charged a private fee, confirmed by reception before the appointment.
Some items such as travel vaccines, private medicals and cosmetic treatments are not covered by Medicare and attract a fee.
Telehealth is bulk billed for eligible patients who have visited us in the last twelve months.

Quick answers about appointments at Toongabbie Doctors.
For patients with a valid Medicare card, standard and long GP consultations are bulk billed, which means Medicare pays the doctor directly and there is nothing for you to pay. Reception will tell you in advance if anything you need is not covered.
Call reception on (02) 7813 6000 from 8am or check HotDoc. Appointments are released each morning for patients who need to be seen that day. If you are having chest pain, difficulty breathing or another emergency, call 000.
Yes. You can select a doctor when booking online or ask reception. If your preferred GP is not available, any of our doctors can see you and your notes are shared within the practice.
No. New patients are welcome. Bring your Medicare card and a list of your current medicines to your first visit, and allow a few extra minutes to complete a registration form.
Ask reception for a long appointment when you book. It is still bulk billed and gives your doctor more time for care plans, complex problems or several concerns.
Free parking is available under the building via Cox Lane, with lift access to the medical centre level. Toongabbie Station is a short walk along Aurelia Street.
